At Speight Built we believe in holding ourselves to a high degree of character.  With each home that we craft we believe in bringing a high level of character not just to our client’s home, but to ourselves and the Speight Built brand as well.  Treating our clients to a great experience while bringing the home they’ve envisioned to life is something we take very seriously.

Speight Built is led by Ryan Speight who has been constructing custom homes in the Wake County area since 2007.  A native of Greenville, North Carolina, Ryan comes from a family entrenched in all aspects of real estate, construction and development, thus creating an active involvement from an early age.

Upon graduation from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Ryan relocated to Raleigh where he began to focus on upscale residential construction while earning a Master of Business Administration degree from North Carolina State University.   Ryan has received many industry acknowledgements and awards including Gold medals in the Wake County Parade of Homes in high-end price categories, the 2016 Raleigh HGTV Smart Home, and the 2015 Duke-Progress Energy Green Home. 

The combination of these experiences equipped Ryan with an in-depth knowledge of high-end construction and the ability to incorporate energy-efficient practices and smart technology, which are becoming increasingly important in today’s housing environment.  His passion for quality of material and attention to detail have crafted a brand that clients come to.  Ryan currently sits on the Raleigh Advisory Housing Committee and is a frequent speaker at Builder Panels discussing market trends and construction techniques.
